Finally

We've been back for two months and they've been quite full. Right after we returned Blayne turned 31-here he is just before blowing out his candles :0)

Within 3 weeks of our return, we had 2 weddings where dear friends married each other. Derek & Libby kicked things off. Here's the bride and bridesmaid Jen.

Only 2 weeks later Jen and Eric (these are the ones that got engaged in Ireland) got married. Deborah was the matron of honor and Blayne was a groomsmen (who also did all that music-that was pretty funny-now he's on the flute, now the guitar, now he's over here, now he's over there-it actually worked out fine-but Blayne was tired :0). Here's the "formal" shot of the four of us.

Right after the wedding we took off to visit family in the southeast. We flew into Atlanta where we spent some time with David & Red (deb's brother & his wife) and went to the aquarium the next day. Blayne was like a kid in a candy store-he loves that stuff. Deb's friend Nate showed us around behind the scenes again-so stinkin' cool! And we all went to a special treat-Matthew Perryman Jones was playing at Eddie's attic that night-what a great show! Sorry I don't have pics of that. After that we were off to south GA to visit with Laura, Blayne's grandmother. It was clear by the time of our visit that she would not be around much longer. We were blessed to have time with her where she was able to chat with us and we played music for her. We had 3 really good days with her there (and with Blayne's folks and his aunt Joan) and said our last goodbyes to her.

Next we travelled on to Atmore to Deborah's parent's house where Carol (Deb's sister) and her 3 kids were there. Bennett, Wilson and Mae are so much fun to be with. We played and read books and ate alot of seafood. Deborah did alot of sleeping and laying around too. What I haven't mentioned yet is that the day afer Blayne's birthday we found out that we are pregnant. Crazy, huh? We are very excited, but I have not been feeling my best these past couple of months. So, there's that bit of exciting news. We're due Feb. 20th. We're calling it "gessie" short for gestating til we find out the gender.

I also got to spend some time at my sister's house with her family while Blayne came back to CO to get some work done. He came back for his grandmother's funeral and we spent wonderful time with family members we rarely see and were able to celebrate the life of a wonderful woman with loads of other people who knew and loved her.

Once back, it was time for Deborah's bday-here we are with some friends at our place for a laid back celebration.

I started writing this months ago and only today did I finally find the card adapter so I could put the pics in. Sorry it was so long. We had our ultrasound yesterday and the Chastains are having a girl :0) yeah! Take care and I promise to be better about this blogging thing (now that morning sickness is behind me).
