Happy Easter!

Well, Erin is 7 weeks old today. And I'm home with some time and energy and access to Blayne's computer (the rarity of the three of these things coinciding is the reason I haven't been a better blogger lately :0). I'll sum up with pictures and captions a wonderful month of family visits and Easter finery.

My folks were the first to come and visit. Erin was just 10 days old when they arrived. They are quite taken with their 4th grandchild and were such a huge help around the house-taking on little projects that needed to be done and cleaning the house (the dog hair was pretty out of hand, and is again right now I'm afraid).

Here we are at Devil's Backbone on Erin's first hike. Jen and I got her started early. She's almost 3 weeks old here :0)

Just a few days after my folks left, Jane and Roger came to meet their 1st grandchild! Since Blayne's an only child, we'll be the only source for the grandbabies. They are quite smitten and I'm pretty sure they have every intention of spoiling Erin (and any subsequent babies) rotten. We were able to celebrate Jane's birthday while they were here, which was great fun! And since Erin was over 3 weeks old when they got here she was able to finally take a bottle and Jane took the middle of the night feeding for me and for 3 nights straight I got 5 hours of sleep-which was AMAZING!!

Here's a picture that Jane snapped that really captured Erin's smile. She's getting very interactive and is such a sweet girl!

Next up, my sister brought her youngest, Mae, out for a visit and we had great fun all together. We were never close in age to any of our cousins and are very excited to have two girls that are less than a year apart.

Here are the two of them sleeping in the car after our "hike" around Sprague Lake. Carol and I were in Capris and long sleeves with babies in carriers tromping over a snowy trail in Rocky Mountain National Park. It was great fun and it was a beautiful day with sunlit, snowy peaks all around.

Here's one just to prove that Carol did get to hold Erin some of the time.

My brother and his wife, Redonna were next to visit. Here's Red cuddling with a sleeping Erin. She spent as much time as possible holding and snuggling with her newest neice.

Here's David, my brother, and Erin hanging out, just chillin'. We had such a wonderful time together, in spite of the fact that Erin and I were getting well from a respiratory bug that had been going around for the first couple of days they were here.

Here's Erin in her Easter Dress bought for her by my mom. And then we have her posed with her Easter Basket. Notice its filled with her parents favorite candies :0).

Happy Easter to you all. Hope you're all well and enjoyed this picture journey of the last month of our lives. We will update soon with some photos of her with more family. I'm sad to say that Blayne's aunt passed away today and we'll be traveling to GA for the funeral. She was a dear sweet woman who will be so very missed. Keep his family in your prayers. Lots of love from snowy (yes, it snowed today on Easter) Colorado.

Hey Deb, That child looks like a Bilbo to me! Cute pics. And before I read the text, I noticed her Easter basket had some Reese's in it. I knew who they were for! It actually sleeted and I saw some snow flurries here on Easter day. In ALABAMA! Amazing. Ivee is doing great. Read the blog for the great news. Love you, and I can't wait to see you guys!
